While there’s no lack of Indian restaurants, Bindaas Hong Kong sets itself apart from the others. The menu focuses on dishes found throughout India – from street food to curries – with a modern flare. Just like the food, the decor of Bindaas is also colorful and contemporary. Having recently given its menu a summer makeover, I was excited to head back to Bindaas to try a handful of their new dishes.

Indian Street Food With A California Flare At Juhu Beach Club

The original Juhu Beach Club opened in California after the success of Chef Preeti Mistry on the hit TV series Top Chef, and given Hong Kong’s well-regarded claim as a foodie-haven, it’s understandable Preeti had her eyes set on this city for her next restaurant. The food served at Juhu Beach Club uses a mix of Indian spices with a Californian flare, both of which balance the dishes out well.

Bindaas: Moreish Modern Indian Food [New Restaurant Review]

Hong Kong is home to a fairly large selection of Indian restaurants that offer the classics, such as chicken tikka, palak paneer, vindaloo, and so forth. With little to distinctly separate one restaurant from the other, it’s no wonder that most seem to glide under the foodie radar. Thankfully, that’s all about to change with a fresh face for Indian food: Bindaas. Serving traditional street foods and Indian tapas with a modern flare, Bindaas is a unique restaurant option for those looking for something different.
