Since I haven’t tried too many Korean dishes (I usually stick to gimbap or bibimbap), I figured I would finally try Momojein. Helmed by Korean Chef Lim Hee Won (who is incredibly sweet and down to earth, and is well known in Korea for being on a reality TV cooking show), Momojein offers diners a modern take on a range of traditional Korean dishes. Chef Lim Hee Won has recently introduced a handful of new dishes to Momojein’s menu that I had the chance to try.
If you’re feeling bored of the typical western brunches around Hong Kong, look no further than Jinjuu’s modern-Korean weekend brunch to liven things up. With a large semi-buffet of delicious Korean treats like kimbap and their to-die-for Korean Fried Chicken, there’s something for Korean food-lovers as well as those who are looking for more Western-infused dishes. Enjoy the semi-buffet only, or, if you’re feeling quite ravenous and thirsty, you can opt to add on a main course and a dessert platter, and/or Jinjuu’s free-flow package (you’ll be in LKF, after all..). Jinjuu offers a good value brunch with an inviting and open atmosphere, and a good variety of modern-Korean fare.
Foodie and Foodpanda have teamed up to bring the food-lovers of Hong Kong (AKA everyone) The Good Food Tour, focusing on a different theme for each tour. This time around, we tried three Korean restaurants in Central: Seoul Bros, JANG, and TaKorea. Each establishment offered its own take on traditional Korean fare that was incredibly satisfying and may have even converted some us kimchi-haters to kimchi-lovers.
