If you’re in need of a change from the typical city scenery while travelling through Paris, then you should definitely head on over to Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. Not only does this public park offer its visitors ample greenery to walk through, sit down, and enjoy, but it also has a temple perched on the top of a cliff where you can gaze down on the park and look out onto some of Paris’s beautiful buildings.

There’s so much more to the city than taking a ride on the London Eye or getting your photo taken in front of Big Ben. As you all know from my last post about China, I absolutely love the Mainland, so what better way to spend a long weekend than in Guangzhou?! Due to rather unfortunate circumstances regarding a passport (how does it take twenty working days to process a work visa in China?), C was unable to come to Hong Kong. Though being in Guangzhou China during a long weekend is the absolute last place I’d want to be, here I was making the trek via the Intercity Through Train from HK to GZ.
