With only four days in Paris, I tried to cram everything I wanted to see in a short time frame and I surprisingly was able to do it all, though perhaps not as well as I would have liked. Since I had such a difficult time narrowing down a list of things to do in Paris for this blog post, I decided to just give up and include all of my favourite spots and places I went to while in the city. There’s a whole lot to see and do, so whether you’re there for a weekend or an entire week, this list is sure to keep your feet moving throughout the city streets of Paris.

A Hidden Gem In Paris – Parc des Buttes-Chaumont

If you’re in need of a change from the typical city scenery while travelling through Paris, then you should definitely head on over to Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. Not only does this public park offer its visitors ample greenery to walk through, sit down, and enjoy, but it also has a temple perched on the top of a cliff where you can gaze down on the park and look out onto some of Paris’s beautiful buildings.

The Best Restaurant In Paris – Le Petit Bleu

If you’re anything like me, you know that making decisions on where to eat when travelling can be a stressful ordeal; is it good value? Good food? Worth the trip out there? How do I choose between this restaurant and that one? And the questions go on and on, but thankfully I found one hidden gem in the city. Sightseeing Along The La Seine – River Boat Cruise In Paris

If you’re short on time while in the city, then hopping on a river boat cruise in Paris along the La Seine river might be your best bet to see a variety of popular sights in under an hour. We didn’t really do any research prior to choosing a particular tour company; we just stumbled upon one and figured, “why not?”.

Notre Dame, Paris

Paris has many tourist hot-spots to visit throughout the city, and without a doubt, the Notre Dame is high up on that list as one of the most well-known cathedrals in France (we’ve all seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame..). This cathedral is an example of the historic French Gothic architecture with a beautiful exterior and an equally mesmerizing interior adorned with intricate stained glass windows throughout.

Sacre-Coeur, Paris

Looking for a more scenic and cheap way to see some views of Paris from above? Then check out Sacre-Coeur, a beautiful Basilica located on the highest point within the city (which isn’t very high at all). The area leading up to the church is quite seedy – filled with locals trying to scam you into playing their card games, tourist shops, and quite a few sketchy characters. Fear not though, as you’ll be surrounded by other tourists sitting along the green grass once you begin walking up to the church. The area is extremely busy with tourists, though once you make it to the top you’ll get some nice views of the city (though there unfortunately isn’t much to be seen).
